This was a premiere. Timmendorfer Strand and Niendorf was the first Baltic Sea resort to introduce a barrier–free beach. There are five floating wheelchairs for wheelchair users and those with walking difficulties, guaranteeing them plenty of fun in the water. A plank walkway makes for easy access to these five beach segments. Bathing is the motto for one and all:
